Peñafiel brand unflavored mineral spring water made by Keurig Dr Pepper company was recalled after a laboratory found “volative levels of arsenic” in samples that exceeded the FDA’s bottled water standards for mineral water of 10 ppb. The water was imported from Mexico and includes all products and sizes. Arsenic is toxic to people and animals and over time can cause major health problems. Keurig Dr Pepper stated that it has recently installed enhanced filtration systems at its facilities that produce Peñafiel to ensure that the products are now within regulatory guidelines.
