The Federal Trade Commission's filed a lawsuit against Health Formulas LLC, its owners and related companies, including Simple Pure Nutrition alleging their "free trials" caused people to provide their credit and debit card information that was used to enroll them in monthly subscription for falsely advertised products. In a settlement, Defendants are banned from their wrongful conduct and they are paying refunds to customers totaling more than $9.8 million or about $43 per person, who bought “fat burning” and “weight loss” products and other dietary supplements, DVDs, or skin creams, including Pure Green Coffee Bean Plus and RKG Extreme, from Health Formulas LLC and related companies.
