Some Free Offers Are Not Free According to FTC
The Federal Trade Commission filed a lawsuit against several companies and their officers that prominently advertised “FREE!” golf balls, kitchen gadgets, gear and related subscriptions that failed to properly disclose terms and conditions, provided deceptive negative options, and misleading upsells, in violation of the FTC Act and the Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act.
