Vinyl Floors May Present Health Risk

After a major story broke on Lumber Liquidators' flooring sourced from China that contained high levels of formaldehyde, the company suspended sales of its laminate flooring. Consumer Reports tested vinyl flooring for another potentially harmful chemical, phthalate, after Home Depot and Lowes both announced the flooring they sell will be phthalate-free by 2016.
